The Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra presents Borodin’s  “Polovtsian Dances”. Many will recognise one of the beautiful themes as the popular song ‘Stranger in Paradise’.  As exciting as the Borodin is, the climax of this concert will be the music of fellow Russian composer Stravinsky. Nothing can follow his magical masterpiece “The Firebird” Suite: one of the most dramatic and mystical pieces of the orchestral repertoire. Artistic Director Peter Shannon promises one of the highlights of the season!
